    1923: The original 1923 issue from ½ d. to £ 1 and totalling 42 stamps (without 1927 and 1933 additional values) all overprinted SPECIMEN in black on vertical strips of three as sent out by the UPU to Mauritania, applied to page from the Mauritanian Post Office archives and all stamped additionally overprinted on arrival with three line SPECIMEN / COLLECTION / MAURITANIE in rose-pink.
