    1939 (Dec 21): LATI First Flight cover from Rome to Rio de Janeiro, a registered usage from "Citta del Vaticano" (19.12.39) endorsed with typewritten 'via LATI' and addressed to Sig. Alberto Bolaffi in Torino, flown on the LATI special flight showing "Rio - Restante / 28.XII.39" cds. on reverse; thereafter returned via Rome (23.4.40) to TORINO-CENTRO (24.4.40). Scarce. Signed G. Bolaffi Sass. = € 2.200.rn
