    Ballon Monté 1870 (Dec 7): Entire letter endorsed 'par Ballon Monté' to Toulouse bearing laureated 1867 20 c. blue, flown from beseiged Paris on "Le Denis Papin", tied by 'Paris / Rue Cardinal Lemoine' cds in black. The Ballon landed near Ferté-Bernard, Sarthe with reverse showing Toulouse arrival cds (Dec 21). A fresh and fine entire. Illustrated in Edition D'Or XLV on page 85.
