    1858 (Jan 22): Envelope from Montreal to St. Thomas bearing 1855/57 Beaver 3 d. brown-red on handmade wove paper, a fresh adhesive with good to enormous margins and fresh colour including parts of the upper neighbouring stamp, tied by '21' ring target obliterator of Montreal with despatch cds in black alongside. Reverse with arrival cds (Jan. 25). An appealing cover, opinion Holcombe (1991).
