    Martinique 1867 (July 8): Double rate Cover from St. Pierre to Bordeaux, endorsed "voie de St. Nazaire", bearing General Issues Eagle 20 c. blue and 80 c. rose, two fresh and fine singles with fair to large margins, tied by light MQE lozenge and framed PD in red, clear "MARTINIQUE ST. PIERRE 8 JUIL. 67" cds alongside. Reverse with "LIGNE A PAQ. FR. N° 2 9 JUIL. 67" Shipmail's and Nantes arrival (July 25) cds's. An appealing item with a franking paying twice the 50 c. rate to France. Cert. Goebel (2004).
