    1866: 4 reales red, a fine used example on archive dated 1873 cover front to Quito endorsed 'Civiles' and 'con 4$ 5½ rs.', with weight annotation '13 oz.' at top, used with 1870/72 ½ r. blue on blued paper and scarce 1870/72 1 r. yellow, two examples, each on quadrille paper, neatly cancelled by "Latacunga" datestamps in black (Aug 25). Slight file fold affects one 1 r. but a most attractive and rare three colour franking.
