    1866: 4 reales red, a superb used example from base of sheet showing the marginal frameline and portion of adjoining stamp at top, position 95, used on 1871 entire letter at double rate from Guayaquil to Chavez in Lima, Peru tied by scarce usage of the dotted FRANCA lozenge in black. Reverse with Lima arrival cds (March 2) showing the '2' inverted. A delightful and very rare franking.
