    1865: 1 r. green, a horizontal pair and four single examples one with "Extended "R" to Correos" (position 50), close to large margins all round, used on 1865 triple rate entire letter (Nov 8) to Lima, Peru tied by three strikes of "Quito / Franca" datestamps (Nov 8) in black. Reverse with British P.O. GUAYAQUIL double arc cds (Nov 29) and Lima (erroneous) arrival cds (Nov 3): it is possible the cover was stamped up but awaited payment for the full postage from the addressee. Crayon '2' marked for Peruvian double rate on arrival. An unusual entire -believed to be one of the earliest known foreign destination covers from Ecuador. Cert.
