    Fourth Printing Group 1870/72: 1 real yellow-orange, a vertical strip of four in a bright shade, with "Republica del Ecuador" Coat of Arms embossed security seal on top two stamps (positions 9/18/27/36), used with single ½ r. blue showing "Obscured Value Tablet" variety due to over-inking or dirt on the Plate - but a clear impression at top of stamp, all with large margins; used on folded cover front to Guaranda tied by "Riobamba" datestamps (Nov 23) in black. Corresponding manuscript weight "8½ oz." at top alongside file stitch markings. A fine and most unusual usage. Cert. Moorhouse (2003).rn
