    Fourth Printing Group 1871/72: 1 real yellow on white wove paper, an ill-defined coarse impression in a deep shade, paying the internal postage on 1871 mourning envelope to Bordeaux, France, tied by "3154" gros chiffres with "Quito / Franca" datestamp in red alongside (Feb 18). Reverse with British Post Office GUAYAQUIL datestamp (Feb 25) in black alongside red London transit cds (April 3). Obverse with three line dated PANAMA / TRANSIT (March 5) and framed "GB / 1F 90c." Anglo-French accountancy marking applied in London. Calais entry marking and charged "12" décimes due upon delivery. An exceptional and rare Transatlantic usage of the first issue, arriving in in France during the Commune. Signed Holcombe.
