    1890: Engraved 10 c. red, a horizontal pair with straight edge at right, used on 1898 cover to Berlin endorsed 'via Puerto Barrios, New York', tied by rare "148" small numeral obliterator and by octagonal CORREOS / XOLHUITZ datestamp (Dec 26) in violet. Reverse with Guatemala datestamp (Dec 29) and Berlin arrival (Jan 24, 1889). A rare 'proving' cover for the numeral cancellation.
