    1871 (March 1): 10 c. blue, Type II, wide "0", used on 1872 entire letter to Ramon Rodriguez in Mazatenango tied by bold strike of "1" numeral obliterator in black with "Correos / Guatemala" despatch datestamp (Oct 7) in blue alongside. Cleaned with slight corner bend to adhesive and file fold well away from the stamp. Just three covers are recorded (one listed in the Goodman handbook) with this stamp paying the internal double rate. A rare and particularly appealing entire. Cert.
