    1890/91: Southern Cross 200 r. violet, a vertically bisected example used on 1892 cover, paying the 100 reis rate to Rio de Janeiro, neatly tied by ITABAPOANNA datestamp (Oct 7) in black. Reverse with Rio arrival cds (Oct 9). Exceptional and very scarce. Cert. BPA (1998) Scott = $ 875.
