    1883: Letter Card 2nd Series postal stationery, locally produced, with Essay for the 3 c. value in blue (issued in brown) without "Republica Oriental Del Uruguay" at top - some aging but very rare, and a further Proof in issued colour entirely imperforate with printer's imprint at base (Escuela des Artes y Oficios). Scarce pairing, the Essay extremely rare.
