    Pacific War 1884: Chiclayo Provisional 5 c. blue overprinted by oval FRANCA  in black, a used example on 1884 cover to Lima, sensibly opened for display, tied by octagonal framed CHICLAYO handstamp in black. Reverse with large 'Correos / Lima-Peru' arrival cds (Aug 23). An outstanding provisional cover of great rarity.
