    British P.O. in Constantinople 1862 (March 26): Cover from Constantinople to Stirling Scotland bearing Great Britain 1857 1 d. rose-red on white paper die II perf. 14, three horizontal pairs lettered AA-AB, BA-BB & CA-CB, each stamp tied by neat strike of the "C" in bars obliterator. Reverse with "BRITISH POST OFFICE CONSTANTINOPLE MR 26 1862" despatch cds in red and "STIRLING AP 5 62" arrival cds in blue. Vertical filing fold just touching BB, some toning at left, nevertheless an interesting and attractive franking to pay the 6 d. rate via Marseilles with a French packet in the 1857 rate.
