    Austrian offices in Asia Minor 1873 (Nov. 1): Double rate Cover from Smyrna to London, franked by 1867 coarse whiskers 3 s. green in a horizontal pair and 10 s. blue in a horizontal strip of four, overall fresh and fine multiples, each stamp cancelled by thimble "SMIRNE 1 / 11 73" cds's (Tranmer fig. 10), London arrival cds in red (Nov 10 73) and blue dealer's cachet alongside. Rate includes 10 s. for the Levant, 5 s. for Austria and 8 s. for Belgium and the UK. Perforation irregularities and small nicks at top of the leftmost stamp, otherwise an interesting and appealing item.
