    French Post Office in Port Said 1899: Essay for the overprint prepared by the Postmaster to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the opening of the Suez Canal, the "PORT-SAID" overprint struck in red (and without dot over the "I" of "Port Said"), on France type SAGE 2 c. to 5 c., 20 c., 25 c. and 50 c., seven values in fresh mint blocks of four with fine large part original gum. The 5 c., 25 c. and 50 c. showing dropped hyphen variety (pos. 5). An extremely rare part set with only 150 stamps printed on most values and only 50 of the 50 c. See Smith page 107.
