    Syria. The set of four hand-painted Essays, enlarged on board, painted in close to issued colours without denominated values and UPU inscriptions, the Postage 12 p. 50 in purple, 25 p. (Palmyra) in deep blue and 50 p. in bright green (as utilised for the Airmail 12 p. 50 value). A dramatic and scarce trio, all signed by the Artist Paul Koroleff.
