    USED IN MALTA: 1882 (Feb 23): Double rate cover to Japan (not a UPU member at this date), franked by 1880 2½ d. blue pl. 22 (three) and single 1880 ½ d. deep green all tied by "Malta-A25" duplexes. Reverse with Syracuse, Brindisi, Yokohama cds's (April 10) and native Tokio arrival in black. A scarce and attractive cover. Provenanc: Francisco Collection (1989)
