    1877: 2½ d. rosy mauve, pl. 8, a fine example used on 1877 cover to France tied by "Ventnor-971" duplex (Oct 24), forwarded by "Munroe & Co." with cachet at upper left on arrival. Sent back to London with Type Sage 30 c. brown tied by Paris cds (Oct 26). A fine and unusual cover.
