    1875: 2½ d. rosy mauve, wmk. Anchor, Plate 2, lettered LH / FL error, a fine used example tied to 1875 cover from Liverpool to Charleston / SC, USA by Liverpool Exchange / 466 duplex (Oct 28) in black, and by red "New York/Paid All" cds of transit (Nov 7). A very fine example of an extremely rare stamp on letter, only 10 covers recorded by Gallan/Louis in "Surface Printed Postage Stamps 1855-83" (page 135) without this one which predates all known covers.
