    International Postal Connections to Europe - Papal States 1868ca: Cover front from Constantinople to Rome, endorsed "Via di Ancona", bearing 1864 Arms 3 s. green, perf. 9½, a horizontal pair in mixed franking with 1867 25 s. grey, all fine adhesives, tied by ornamental "CONSTANTINOPEL 8 / 5" cds in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 385). Some toning, an interesting and appealing franking to cover the 31 soldi rate to the Papal States, an extremely rate destination from the Austrian Levant.rnNote: After unification of the Levant rates and the new unified Italy rates of 1866/67, a new rate to the Papal States of 16 kreuzer was introduced.
