    International Postal Connections to Europe - Italy 1873 (Jan 5): Double rate cover from Smirna to Genova, endorsed "via Brindisi", franked with 1867 3 s. green, two singles, 10 s. blue and 15 s. brown, two examples, tied by "LLOYD AGENZIE SMIRNE 4/1" cds in black (Tranmer fig. 8), "P.D." in black alongside. Reverse with Brindisi transit as well as Genova arrival cds (Jan 9). The 10 soldi stamp with fault, but an interesting three colour franking.
