    International Postal Connections to Europe - Italy 1867 (June 14): Cover from Constantinople to Genova, endorsed "Via Varna per Vapore", franked with 1864 Arms 3 s. green and 15 s. brown, perf. 9½, each in a horizontal pair in fresh colours, tied centrally by "CONSTANTINOPEL 14/6" cds's (Tchilinghirian fig. 387) with PD in black alongside. Reverse with Triest and Venezia transit as well as Genova arrival cds (June 21). One 3 soldi stamp with complete 'M' of 'BRIEF MARKEN' watermark. File folds away from adhesives and datestamps, and one 15 soldi stamp with minor thin, not distracting from a beautiful cover, illustrated and discussed in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 413 and in the Ferchenbauer handbook part IV on page 562.
