    International Postal Connections to Europe - Italy 1863: Entire letters (2) from Smirna, including one sent unpaid via Ancona to Intra on the Lago Maggiore, and one sent fully prepaid via Trieste to Como; both with framed PIROSCAFI / POSTALI / AUSTRIACI in black or red respectively; and corresponding transit and arrival datestamps on reverse. The entire to Intra was charged with '7' décimes due upon arrival, the cover to Como was prepaid with 28 soldi, thereby reflecting identical taxes for franco or porto covers. Two attractive and interesting covers, a fine duo which display well together.
