    International Postal Connections to Europe - France 1864 (June 25): Cover from Adrianople to Valence, franked with 1863 Arms definitive 5 s. rose, three examples, 10 s. blue and 15 s. brown, all perf. 14, tied by ornamental "ADRIANOPEL 25 / 6" cds in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 947), "P.D." in red, French Strasbourg entry cds in red (July 3), and postal treaty handstamp "A." alongside. Reverse with Vienna and Paris transit as well as Valence arrival cds (July 4). Stamps with perforation imperfections and minor aging but an extraordinary three colour franking to cover the 40 soldi rate to France.
