    International Postal Connections to Europe - Norway 1868 (Dec 3): Unpaid entire letter from Constantinople to Trondheim, Norway struck with three line "LETTERE ARRIVATE / COL VAPORE / DAL LEVANTE" handstamp in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 99), "SVINESUND 16 / 12 1858" cds of the exchange office between Sweden and Norway in blue alongside. Reverse with transit cds's of Triest, Berlin and of the Danish Office in Hamburg. The cover handed directly to the Steamer and therefore in Trieste the 'Lettere arrivate' handstamp was applied together with a '7' silbergroschen rate handstamp. Danish and Swedish postage was added and '38' skilling due were noted on reverse. An attractive cover to an extremely rare destination from the Austrian Levant.
