    International Postal Connections to Europe - Great Britain 1869 (Sept 24): Entire letter from Smirne to London, franked with 1867 10 s. blue and 25 s. grey, tied by "SMIRNE 24 / 9 69" thimble cds (Tranmer fig. 10) in blue, "P.D." and London arrival cds (Oct 4 69), both in red alongside, reverse with Triest transit cds. On front, 'W.F.14' kreuzer handstruck applied in black at Triest (van der Linden fig. 2982) for onward postage beyond Prussia. Cover slightly soiled, one file fold slightly affecting the 10 soldi stamp, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 393 Ferchenbauer = € 1'600.
