    International Postal Connections to Europe - North German Federation 1869ca: Triple rate cover from Constantinople to Jena, franked with 1867 5 s. red, 15 s. brown and 25 s. lilac, tied by "CONSTANTINOPEL 26 / 1" cds (Tchilinghirian fig. 387) in black, reverse with Jena arrival cds (Feb 5). Cover was rastel punched for disinfection, the 25 soldi adhesive hit twice by the rastel punch. Some wear and carefully closed filing holes but a fine and scarce three colour franking. Illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 387.rnNote: The addressee is Johann Gustav Stickel (1805-1896), a theologian, orientalist and numismatist at Jena University.
