    International Postal Connections to Europe - Turkey/Bosnia 1868 (Sept 9): Entire letter from Triest to Sarajevo endorsed "via Brood in Slavonia", bearing 1867 5 kr. red, a fresh single, tied by oval "TRIEST 7/9 V" datestamp. Upon arrival, two vert. pairs of Duloz 1865 20 pa. ochre due perf. 12½ were added on front and each stamp tied by circular Bosna handstamp (Coles & Walker fig. 4) in blue. Minor imperfections, but a fine and fresh item showing part prepayment from Austria to the border while the part of the journey in Bosnia had to be paid by the receiver, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 378.
