    Trieste Rate Handstamps 1858 (March 13): Unpaid entire letter from Smyrna to Worms, with "SMIRNE 13/3" despatch cds in black (Tranmer fig. 4), and fine strike of framed '7¼' rate handstamp (Van der Linden fig. 3107) alongside in blue applied in Triest. Reverse with Mainz and distribution cds (March 23) in black. The '7¼' silbergroschen rate handstamp reflects 12 soldi for the Lloyd part and 9 kreuzer CM for the GAPU part of the journey. Illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 231.
