    Trieste Rate Handstamps 1858 (March 20): Unpaid entire letter from Trieste to Constantinople endorsed "col Vapore", struck with clear "TRIEST 20 / 3 Abends" despatch cds, reverse with Constantinople arrival cds (25/3). In transit at Triest struck with framed "  / 2-20" rate handstamp (unlisted in van der Linden), the lower part being 2.20 piastres = 12 kreuzer for the sea journey to Constantinople. A spectacular and extremely scarce usage. Illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 229.
