    Regular Mail Services 1747 (Nov 13): Entire letter in miniscule handwriting from Constantinople to Marseilles with manuscript Forwarding Agent 'Jean Henry Stametz à Vienne le 19. 9bre 1747' notation on reverse, endorsed 'pr Bale' showing French D'AUTRICHE and manuscript '25' Sols due on front. Opened out for display, signed Bolaffi. The lot includes another fumigated entire from the same correspondence sent in April 1762, both are illustrated and discussed in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 93. rnNote: Starting in 1746, a regular monthly mail service was established between Constantinople and Vienna with stops in Adrianople, Sofia, Nish, Parakin, Belgrade, Semlin, Vukovar, Buda and Ödenburg.
