    Consular mail Services and their disruption during War 1742 (July 25): Entire letter from Constantinople to Venice, endorsed 'p Vienne', and reverse with manuscript arrival notation in Venice (Aug 16) with complete oval red wax disinfection seal 'SIGILL: CONS / L: SANITATIS' (Meyer type IV) of Semlin on the reverse. Illustrated and discussed in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 92. rnNote: After the end of the war and the peace treaty of Belgrade in July 1739, the Consular postal services were re-established.
