    1865 (Jan. 14): Lettersheet from Venice to Milano, franked by vertical pair of 3 soldi green and 10 soldi blue, both perf. 9½ with fresh colour, good perforation and well embossed, tied by "VENEZIA 14 / 1" cds's, "P.D." in red alongside, reverse with Milano arrival datestamp of the following day.
