    1859 (July 20): Great Britain 1857 1 d. red perf. 14, three examples used with 1848 Embossed 10 d. brown, clear to large margins all round, on small 1859 cover from Gibraltar to Montreal, Canada endorsed 'per Steamer via Liverpool & Queenstown', carried at single rate tied by "A26" obliterator and by two strikes of the "GIBRALTAR / A26" duplex (July 20). 'London / Paid' transit cds (July 27) in red and from Liverpool on the Allan Line 'Nova Scotian', reverse with datestamps of Berthiers, Montreal and Lanoraie (Aug 13). One 1 d. red with two pulled perfs. but of no significance - an extraordinary and unique usage of the Embossed 10 d. on cover from Gibraltar.
