    1862 (March 20): Great Britain 1856 6 d. lilac in a resonant deep shade and 1 s. green in a horizontal strip of three, used on 1862 registered cover from Gibraltar to Marseille tied by four strikes of the "A26" obliterator with single ring GIBRALTAR despatch cds (March 20) at left. Struck with two strikes of "♚ / REGISTERED" one in red and one in black, with 'Registered / London' oval in red (March 26) and French CHARGÉ in black. Reverse with 'Rate Box' and arrival (March 28).
