    1864 (Feb 22): Great Britain 1858/69 2 d. blue pl. 9 and 1862 4 d. vermilion-red, hairlines, in a vertical pair on 1864 "Registered Telegram" manuscript endorsed envelope from Malta to Bombay, India tied by horizontal "MALTA / A25" duplex (Feb 22). "♚ / REGISTERED" handstamp in red above crossed by opening tear. Reverse with imprinted embossed red seal of the 'The Mediterranean Extension Telegraph Company Limited'. The 4 d. pair creased at base but attractive and extremely rare.
