    1879 (Aug 17): Great Britain 1½ d. lake-red pl. 3, a used block of eight (4 x 2) on cover via Panama to London tied by five strikes of the "C35" obliterator with three line PANAMA / TRANSIT datestamp below (Aug 17) all in black. Reverse with London arrival datestamp (Sept 13). Minor ironed wrinkles but a superbly attractive and extremely rare cover and an undoubtedly unique large multiple of this stamp cancelled in Panama.rnProvenance: Collection Grant Glassco, RL, London, 25-27 Nov 1969, lot 707; Harmers, London, 18 Nov 1986, lot 323.
