    1843 (June 24): Entire letter from Santiago de Cuba to St. Thomas prepaid '1/-' in manuscript, struck with superb "♚ / PAID / AT / ST. JAGO-DE-CUBA" in red. The entire, addressed to the Forwarding Agents Schon, Willink & Co., is somewhat typically fragile but bears a superb strike of the double arc ST. JAGO-DE-CUBA cds in black on reverse (July 5).
