    1819 (June 28): Entire lettersheet written by Mrs. Charlotte Ross in Cape Town to Major De Havvilland in Madras, India, reporting of ships arriving at Table Bay Cape Town and Algoa Bay in Port Elizabeth, struck by oval "MADRAS G.P.O. AU 30" on front and boxed POST NOT PAID on reverse, charged '4 as' in manuscript on arrival. Fine and scarce.
