    Lithographed in the Colony: First Issue 1852 (Sept): Lithographed (1 d.) blue on yellowish, a used example in a deep shade from the 1st consignment with large even margins all round tied to 1853 entire letter to Paris by numeral "1" of Port of Spain in black and by framed "COLONIES / &c. ART 13" handstamp applied in London in red. Reverse with 'Trinidad' double arc cds and single ring (1 / May 10) despatch cds in black; London transit (May 30) and Paris arrivals. Whilst rated as single for Trinidad and Great Britain (under ½ an ounce) charged at double rate on arrival with '15' décimes charge mark deleted and altered to '30' in manuscript as found to be above 7½ grams.
