Large Garter inverted, lettered AI-AL / JA-JL, an unused block of forty (4 x 10) with "16" Plate Number at top, full sheet marginal imprint at right 'PRICE - 4 d. per Label / 2 s. per Row of Six. £ 1 per Sheet of Sixty' and '(POSTA)GE FOUR PENCE' at base, each stamp overprinted SPECIMEN (Type 9) in black, some creasing and perf. separation as to be expected in a multiple this size, largely fresh and fine with large part or unmounted og. Mentioned in 'Surface Printed Stamps' by Galland & Louis on page 149.
