    1871 (Feb): Ormond Hill Die Proof for the 2 d. value, Die II retouched, without corner letters, engraved on thin hard yellowish wove paper in a delicate deep lilac-rose shade (27 x 32 mm.), fresh and very fine, the impression being just slightly less firm than in DP46a (it is not often a describer has both these Proofs on his desk at the same time for comparison), but a superb Die Proof of great rarity Gi = £ 47'000.
