    1841 (March 9): 2 d. deep red-brown on blued "Dickinson" silk thread paper, with white line added, without corner letters and top right corner covered with wax during printing to prevent any re-use, vertical silk thread, the Proof (position 8 on the sheet) with large margins all round and in a superb deep shade with large part original gum. This item illustrated in the Stanley Gibbons specialised catalogue on page 23. Immensely rare with two Proofs in the National Postal Museum in London and one sheet in the collection of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
