    1841 (Jan-Feb): 1 d. red-brown on blued paper, from black plate 8, lettered RE, a fine unused example with ample to large margins, of fresh colour and showing the State 2 re-entry. A late repair to the plate and found printed in red only. Plate VIII is exceptionally rare in unused condition as samples affixed to Postal Notices are not found from this plate, thus no unused remainders were found in the Dublin or Edinburgh Post Offices. Unobtrusive corner bend not affecting the fine appearance of a rare and seldom seen stamp.
