    1840: 1 d. black, Plate 1a, lettered OA, a used example with huge margins all round and tiny portion of marginal imprint in margin at left, used on large part "May Date" cover, no side flaps, to Duke St., London, cancelled by red Maltese Cross. London "May 27, 1840" datestamp above. File folds well away from adhesive but a scarce early usage and a lovely stamp Gi AS2tj = £ 2'000.
