    1870 (June 1): Double rate cover from Vera Cruz to Genova sent unpaid, struck on despatch with FRANCO / VERA CRUZ cds in black, thence via London with red transit cds and struck with 'GB / 1F 60c.' Accountancy marking, Calais (June 30) and framed 'F.* 56' Convention marking in black (Van der Linden fig. 1196) applied in Paris. Charged with '20' decimi handstamp and 1870 Postage Due 2 l. applied and tied in Genova (July 2). An attractive cover. Signed A. Diena, Todd AIEP.
