    1872: Paris printing 25 b. orange on tinted paper, 2nd printrun, a fine example with minor traces of oxidation, tied by crisp "LEOVA 14 APR 76" cds (Kiriac type B1) to entire letter to Sulina, reverse with Bolgrad (Kiriac type B1) in blue green and Galati transit cds's as well as the arrival cds of the Austrian Consular P.O. in Sulina (Tchilinghirian fig. 840). A most interesting and attractive cover from Leova in Bessarabia via Bolgrad in Southern Bessarabia, nowadays part of the Ukraine, down to the Danube, where it was put in Galati on a vessel to be shipped to Sulina which was with the whole of the Danube estuary and the Dobrudja part of the Osman Empire until the 1877/78 war, delivered by the Austrian P.O. in that city. Cover opened up for display.
